What is the Folio Art Prize?

The Folio Art Prize is also a new addition to Folio. It is a fundraising art and photography contest that accepts any and all sorts of art/ photography.

Is there a prize?

Yes. First, second, and third place winners will be announced on the Folio website and other social media platforms. Part of the upcoming issue will be dedicated to announcing the winners and sharing their work. Winners will also receive certificate awards. And of course, first place also wins the title, “Folio Art Prize Champion” and bragging rights.

Are there any submission rules?

Yes. Artists and photographers can submit up to 5 pieces of work. No other restrictions.

When is the deadline?

Submissions are due no later than April 21st.

Why is there a submission fee?

The submission fee for this year’s Folio Spring Art Prize is $3.00. Because of COVID-19, our fundraising methods are very limited. Every $3.00 will go to maintaining our literary and art website.

Will Artists’ prize submissions be considered for the normal issue?

Yes, all Art Prize submissions will be considered normally for the Spring Issue as well.
